About
Juliane Roberts-Hansen is a San Francisco-based interdisciplinary artist and designer whose work spans painting, textiles, and sculpture. Originally from Sacramento, California, she relocated to San Francisco in 2019 to pursue a BA in Sociology, a field that deeply informs her artistic practice. Her work explores socio-political climates, healing intergenerational wounds, and humanity’s growing detachment from nature. Drawing from family heirlooms, mythos, and Catholic iconography, she blends divine imagery, portraiture, and animal illustrations into her pieces.

She integrates discarded materials—glass, metal, jewelry, and second-hand textiles—using them as raw materials and unconventional canvases. Her methods blend sustainability with creativity, addressing the overconsumption of modern society and disconnection from human connection. In a world shaped by excess and disposability, her art inspires a reconnection, urging reclamation of what's been discarded, both in materials and in spirit. By reimagining and repurposing forgotten objects, Roberts-Hansen’s work emphasizes that true value lies not in accumulation, but in the act of rediscovery, healing, and re-engagement with the world around us.
